Studies

• 7941K401 gymnasium, four-year curriculum. Graduates from Basic Schools can apply.
• 7941K801 gymnasium (secondary school similar to British Grammar School), eight-year curriculum. Graduates from 5th year of basic school can apply.

Curriculum Contents

The school curriculum is focused on general education. The curriculum is further specified by optional subjects in higher classes. Besides compulsory subjects such as Czech, Civics, History, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Art, Music, Physical Education and Computer Science, the following languages are taught:

• English
• German
• Spanish
• French
• Russian

During the first four years students have to choose one of these languages. In the first year of the four-year curriculum studies students have to take up two of these foreign languages.

There is a choice of the following optional subjects:

• English Conversation
• German Convers
• Latin
• Descriptive Geometry
• Computer Science
• History Seminar
• Geography Seminar
• Mathematics and Physics Seminar
• Biology and Chemistry Seminar
• Mathematics Practical Training
• Economy

and other subjects according to the students´choice and possibilities of the school.

Optional Subjects are chosen in the following way.

In the second year of the four-year studies and in the sixth year of the eight-year studies students have to choose one of the optional subjects. In the third year of the four-year studies and in the seventh year of the eight-year studies students have to choose another optional subject to which he/she has to add two other optional subjects.In accordance with students´interests it is possible to open the following optional subjects:

• Drama
• Economy
